- Discuss the role and impact of genetic testing in adolescent idiopathic scoliosis including evidence-based medicine based on genotypes.
- Discuss the challenges spine surgeons face when evaluating scoliosis, including familial relationships and treatment bias, incidence of and predicting progression, and current indications for genetic testing.
- Describe the relationship of scoliosis to growth, including practice methods to evaluate skeletal maturity.
