Educational Objectives

This program will enable participants to:

  • Discuss the surgical management of lumbar degenerative disc disease including anterior, posterior, open, MIS, fusion and arthroplasty options.
  • Describe surgical management techniques for common adult lumbar and cervical deformity conditions, and discuss common complications and management.
  • Describe the surgical options and current controversies for the management of spondylolisthesis.
  • Demonstrate understanding of the rationale, biomechanics and clinical experience of lumbar dynamic stabilization techniques.
