Doctor Mark Dekutoski is an Associate Professor of Orthopaedics at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Consultant to the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Dekutoski received his medical degree from Wayne State University, Detroit, MI and completed a general surgical internship and residency at Wayne State University School of Medicine. In addition, he completed fellowship training at the Twin Cities Scoliosis Spine Center, University of Minnesota as a John H. Moe Clinical Spine Fellow.
Dr. Dekuotski is an active member taking on leadership roles in many professional organizations including the AO Foundation, North American Spine Society, Orthopaedic Research Group, and Scoliosis Research Society. Editorially, he serves several journals including Arthritis Care and Research, Current Surgery, Journal of Spinal Disorders, Journal of Trauma, Mayo Clinic HealthQuest, Mayo Clinic Proceedings, and Spine.
His research interests include adult and pediatric spinal deformity, pediatric thoracolumbar fracture, allograft use in idiopathic scoliosis, spinal tumors, and gait analysis in patients surgically treated for degenerative spondylolisthesis.
