Doctor Suken Shah is an Attending Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon and Co-Director of Spine and Scoliosis Service at the Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children, Department of Orthopaedics in Wilmington, DE. He also is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA.

Dr. Shah earned his Medical Degree from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University graduating Cum Laude. He completed a surgical internship at The Pennsylvania Hospital and orthopaedic surgical residency at Thomas Jefferson University / Rothman Institute in Philadelphia. Dr. Shah received advanced training by completion of a Fellowship in Pediatric Orthopaedics at the Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children.

In addition, Dr. Shah has received academic honors, such as membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, awards for his research, and is distinguished as one of the Best Doctors in America. Other distinctions include a Scoliosis Research Society Traveling Fellowship and Spinal Deformity Education Group Advancement Award.

Dr. Shah serves on the Scoliosis Research Society's Growing Spine and Worldwide Course Committees and Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America's Research Committee. He is a member of other professional organizations including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Harms Study Group, Russell Hibbs Society, and others.

This prolific author also serves as a reviewer for prestigious medical journals including the Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics, Journal of Orthopaedic Science, Arthroscopy, and Scoliosis.
